Dear Peng,
Today, I ventured into the historical streets of Philadelphia. I got lost a few times but I think getting lost is a important part of traveling alone because traveling alone is boring and getting lost helps to make it a little exciting.
I started from the corner of 10th Street and Spruce. From there, I walked south (I think...) while the road's numbers decrease. My aim was the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall ( the place the Declaration of Independence was signed..... i think...lol). It was located on 6th Street. I walked and walked. It was really tiring. I got lost a little but I reached my destination.
I found the Liberty Bell Center. This bell is the symbol for freedom. Pretty interesting artifact. This bell also has a cracked. Sad.
I continued my walk through the city. I saw Penn's Landing. This place is actually a river with a port. There was an ice-skating ring too. Dayum. lol
So, I continued around there and I saw a monument similar to the Tugu Negara. This monument depicted how the Irish fled Ireland during the potato blight and came to America, landing at Philadelphia.
Later, I walked in the opposite direction (north) to 14th Street towards City Hall. Very interesting architecture, I must say. Later, I went to Reading's Terminal (No, its not a bus/train station.... haha) to eat my dinner.
Then, I headed back to my cousin's apartment and watched Top Gear to kill time. I'm so pitiful. Pfftt.
So, that's basically it. How are you, Peng? Hope you are fine.Yeah...I really hope you are safe....Well, I'll keep praying for you, Peng. Be safe and take care, Peng. ^_^
