Washington D.C. (Pt. 2)

Dear Peng,

Today is my second day in Washington D.C. I woke up at 9am. Ate some breakfast and went out the door at 10.30am, heading towards the train station. I was going to the heart of the place, towards the Capitol Building.

My first destination was the Smithsonian Museums that was all over the place. There are many museums here. I only managed to go to 2 of them: Museum of Air and Space and Museum of Natural History. The museums were free and were very entertaining. Too bad I had limited time.

My cousin later met up with me around 1pm and brought me to the U.S. Capitol Building. She brought me to her workplace, the Senate's building. I went inside and it was really spooky. I mean, the hallways were long and wide. Imagine walking here at night. Oh man......

I met her colleagues and I said "Nice to meet you", awkwardly. One of my cousin's colleagues, Andrew Limbre, gave me quick tour of the place.I saw the Old Supreme Court and the very interesting interior decoration of the building.

Then, my cousin and I left the building and she dropped at the New Supreme Court Building. I went inside and took a look-see. I saw the infamous spiral staircase that has no external support whatsoever. Interesting.

Later, I walked all the way to the Lincoln Memorial, pass the Washington Monument. It was a really cold and depressing walk. Whatever la~

I then headed back to my cousin's house and ate dinner and slept.

p.s/ heya, Peng? ^_^
